Professional Infant Care

about

Where Profession Meets Passion

Nestled Newborns is a professional infant care service aimed at allowing new mothers with babies 0 to 4 months an opportunity for a moment of reprieve.  The owner and founder, Lauren Zellers, is an experienced neonatal intensive care nurse and mother of two.  She looks to help support new moms in the trenches of infancy by combining her profession and passion in one.

The freedoms you had before giving birth and the ability to care for yourself is now second to this new little life.  While it is an amazingly unexplainable change a new baby is undoubtedly one of life's most complex adjustments - Nestled Newborns is here to help.

A Moment of Reprieve

Most new parents are met with a feeling of being thrown into the infant stage - at times hardly able to keep their heads above water.  Some families are experiencing this as first time parents while others are feeling overwhelmed attempting to ease the stress of adding another life to their already functioning family.  Without trusted relatives close by many are left with no option of care for their baby at such a young age.

Our goal at Nestled Newborns is to provide families the opportunity for guilt-free infant respite by leaving their new baby with a qualified professional.  Whether it's for a doctor's appointment, a relaxing visit to the store or salon, a chance to give older siblings your undivided attention, a date for the new mom and dad, or uninterrupted rest - mommas can breathe easy knowing their new baby is receiving the attention and love they need during this critical stage in their development.  Limiting care time promotes the importance of mother/baby bonding during this fleeting time, while supporting breast feeding and giving mommas the break they need to return to their infant as their best self.

New motherhood was unlike anything I could have expected.  I had so much experience working with children in the past, but when I was thrown into motherhood nothing could have prepared me for it.  I was so fortunate to have Lauren as someone I could leave my new infant in the care of, and step away to feel more like myself again - even for just a few short hours.  Lauren was able to combine her personal experience with so much professional knowledge to not only leave me confident in her ability to care for my daughter, but to also serve as a wonderful reference for any questions I had that came up.  I am so fortunate to have had Lauren to help make the bumpy transition to new motherhood as smooth as possible and I so hope moms will take advantage of this unique service Lauren is offering.  It will change your infant experience!

Lauren came into our lives at the perfect time.  I was a nervous first-time mom without family nearby, and needed a trusted caretaker for our daughter.  Not only did Lauren expertly and lovingly take care of Ashlyn, but she also answered so many of my questions and eased so many worries about having an infant.  I always felt like Lauren could handle whatever would come up when I was away... and probably better than I could!  I truly could not have made it through that time in life becoming a first time mom then welcoming twin boys a year and a half later without Lauren.  She became like family and I am so thrilled other new moms will have the opportunity to leave their new babies in her excellent care.  Every mom needs a few worry-free hours to take care of themselves while knowing their babies are being well cared for.

I met Lauren after the birth of my second sweet boy.  With the demands of home life, running several family businesses, and being momma to two little boys, I realized I needed someone I could count on to help with the transition and keep life manageable.  As mothers it's difficult to admit to needing help, but once I found someone I could trust the guilt disappeared.  I quickly realized that I could leave my baby in the care of Lauren, who is overly qualified, and could take care of my responsibilities and needs then return to my son as a better, more present mother.  Trusting Lauren to care for my baby was one of the best calls I made as second time mom.
